Remove malware nissan.exe, stop www.thenewspedia.com appearing on your browser

Nissan.exe is a malware that opens a link i.e. http://www.thenewspedia.com/  but dosen't harm your system at all. Nissan.exe hijacks your browser (Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox). This malware doesn't sets the browser to http://www.thenewspedia.com/ but instead opens itself which system startup. So for a beginner user this is a tedious malware, thus opening random pages on the browser.

Here are few easy steps to removing nissan.exe from the system.

Step 1:
open registry editor by clicking on startup > Run, and type regedit on the run tab.

Step 2:
Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > Microsoft > WindowsNT > CurrentVersion > Winlogon. There you will find an entry named "taskman". Double click the "taskman" and copy the path and paste it to your notepad . The entry should look similar to this "C:\RECYCLER\S-1-5-21-************\nissan.exe" .

Note * denotes any number

Now press delete key to delete the taskman entry.
Step 3:
Paste the path in Run but exclude \nissan.exe . A folder will open under the path recycler. Now go to Run again and type attrib -h -r followed by a path.
This should look similar to this : attrib -h -r C:\RECYCLER\S-1-5-21-************\nissan.exe
Now you need to delete nissan.exe but it wont get deleted because the process is still running. For this you will need to download unlocker. Unlocker is a freeware that kills or delete files when they are locked by windows.
Now repeat the same procedure again to make sure that nissan.exe is removed.

This will stop http://www.thenewspedia.com/ to appear and hence your browser will work accurately, would not hang up and pages on your browser will open faster than before.

If this works for you (which definitely will work ) then please rate this post and do comment.
