How to choose your internet connection, Wisely......

High speed broadband internet connection is the choice of todays life. Its needs are immense.
Technology is has reached a height that none of us have ever thought of.

Yet when we talk of internet broadband connections, there are three words that come in our thoughts.

  • Cable Internet
  • DSL
  • Satellite Internet

Cable Internet can be easily accessed through your TV cable operator. Also now you don't need TV cable too. (Cable internet is now accessible without any TV connections too, but still it requires Cables for your internet).

DSL connection is made available through telephone lines  and satellite connection can be accessed by a small dish on the roof to receive and transmit the Internet connection to a satellite.

Yet there are other options like dialups which is rather too slow compared to these connections. Yet it is widely used in rural areas. DSL, Cable, and Satellite connections are far more speeder than the old dialups.

DSL is a steady form of connection and wont get affected if many people are using this service in the same locality, whereas Cable internet is affected if used by multiple users at the same locality.

Satellite connection is one of the alternative for rural areas where there is no access to cable or DSL. Yet it needs relay towers if the place is farther yet making it far more expensive and difficult to install than cable or DSL connection.

If you are using a DSL or Cable connection then you will need a Broadband Modem. For satellite you will need to install a DISH.

Even if its performance is affected by number of users in the area, cable internet is expensive compared to DSL. but if  TV cable operator has the same service then you might get the internet in a lower price.

So Independent for using the slow Dial-ups (the ancestral form of internet connection for public use) , it is better to use either Cable, DSL or Satellite connection.
