Monticello dam was built Napa County, California. This arch shaped reservoir constricted water from the Putah Creek and filled the valley which formed into Lake Berryessa.
This dam has a large spillway which restricts the water level to rise. This spillway is popularised by the name of 'The Monticello Dam's Hole'
